About Us

Ascent Music is a nonprofit organization dedicated to shaping the future of classical music through immersive education, transformative performances, and community engagement. We expand the traditional summer festival model by integrating rigorous training, mentorship, and a whole-life approach to learning, guiding musicians toward artistic excellence and personal growth.

Our mission is to inspire and equip the next generation of musicians by fostering technical mastery, artistic expression, and collaboration. Through festivals, master classes, chamber music coaching, and performances with internationally renowned faculty, we create opportunities for pre-professional and young professional musicians to develop their skills in a supportive, challenging, and creative environment.

Ascent is committed to expanding access to chamber music, bringing world-class performances to communities who may not otherwise experience music at this level. We embrace and celebrate diversity, providing opportunities to talented musicians regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, immigration status, religion, or disability.

Our alumni have gone on to study at top conservatories and universities, perform with leading orchestras and chamber ensembles, and contribute to the cultural landscape as educators, performers, and advocates for classical music. Through this work, Ascent strives to enrich society and culture, cultivating not only exceptional musicians but also whole, inspired individuals who will carry the art form forward.
