Alicia Pucci is a violist from Buffalo, NY. She started viola in 4th grade as a part of her school’s orchestra. Currently, she is studying with Masumi Per Rostad at Eastman. Previously she studied with Maria Hardcastle of the Buffalo Philharmonic. She has served as principal viola of the Eastman Philharmonia, Eastman Opera Orchestra, and the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra. She has played in masterclasses for Jodi Levitz, Kerri Ryan, and the Ying and Brentano string quartets. She has attended the Castleman Quartet Program, the Kinhaven Young Artist Seminar, Interlochen, and the New York Summer School of the Arts. This summer she will attend Ascent Chamber Music Festival and Bowdoin Chamber Music Festival. When not playing viola, Alicia enjoys spending time with her cat Felix.
