Brynn Cogger is a violist from Tacoma, Washington. She is a student of Joyce Ramee at the University of Puget Sound through their Community Music Program. This fall, Brynn will begin studying Viola Performance with violist Masumi Per Rostad at the Eastman School of Music. Brynn was an active member of the Tacoma Youth Symphony for five years, where she served as principal violist in each group, and was a mentor for the younger orchestras and Session I of the Evergreen Music Festival. Brynn was a finalist for the 2022/23 Northwest Sinfonietta Youth Concerto Competition and a winner of the 2020/21 Tacoma Youth Symphony Association Concerto Competition. She has performed with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra, Choral Arts Northwest, Cora Voce, and Second City Chamber Series. She has also performed with the Washington Music Educators Association All-State Chamber Orchestra, and the National Association for Music Education All-Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to music, Brynn will begin studying Brain and Cognitive Sciences as a dual degree student at the University of Rochester this fall. She enjoys cooking, watching classic movies, and spending time with her friends.
