David Roche is a Frank Little Merit Scholarship recipient at the Music Institute of Chicago where he studies with Sang Mee Lee. His past teachers include Amy Biasello and Bridget Andes, in addition to training with Davis King and Jennifer Arnold at programs such as Sphinx Performance Academy and Center Stage Strings. David has extensive orchestral experience, playing with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) for the past 7 years. David served as co-principal of the CYSO Symphony Orchestra viola section for the 2024 Spring and Fall concert cycles. David is a Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative Fellow and has also been a member of the Musical Arts Institute’s Chicago Urban Chamber String Ensemble. He has performed at venues including the United Center, Northwestern Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, Chicago State University, and Symphony Center. David plans to attend Yale University this fall studying Music and Economics.
