Elias Fredericks is currently an undergraduate studying violin performance at The Peabody Institute. He began playing the cello at age 8, and shortly after asked for a violin for a present on his 9th birthday. He played cello and violin together for 8 years, participating in Youth Orchestra, All State Orchestras, as well as traditional music groups that toured the United States and Canada, on both instruments. After 8 years of playing, he decided to stop actively pursuing cello in order to focus on the violin. He has attended several music festivals including the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, and the Music at Port Milford Chamber program in Canada. He is currently studying at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland under the instruction of Professor Judith Ingolfsson.
