Joanna Frank is an undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati- College Conservatory of Music. She received an honors diploma from the Eastman Community Music School, where she studied with Christopher Haritatos. A former member of the Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, and former principal for the 22’-23’ and 23’-24’ season, Joanna has participated in the HYSO tour to Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as their tour to Italy. Joanna is also a recipient of the Douglas Lowry award in conjunction with the Rochester Music Hall of Fame, through which she was given the opportunity to play at the RMHF induction ceremony. A lucky duck, Joanna has soloed with HYSO, the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra, and her former high school orchestra. One of Joanna’s greater passions is chamber music. Joanna has played in chamber groups since the age of 9, including in groups which have placed in the Syracuse friends of chamber music competition and the CCM chamber competition. She has also attended summer programs at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance, Nazareth University, Oberlin Conservatory, and Point CounterPoint chamber music camp in Vermont. Outside of music, Joanna enjoys training triathlon, traveling, learning German, binging TV-shows and eating ice-cream, spending time with her gorgeous dog, goofy friends, beautiful family, and sleeping.
