Julia Kleindorfer, 16, studies cello with Elizabeth Wright at the Colburn School. In the 2023-24 season, she served as Principal Cellist of the Colburn Sinfonietta and performed as a soloist with the orchestra. She was recently named a semifinalist in the Music Center’s Spotlight Competition. Julia is a part of the Ed and Mari Edelman Honors Chamber Music Institute and was a semifinalist in the Coltman Chamber Music Competition with her Trio. She has received multiple accolades, including 1st place in the Charleston Competition, the Silver Medal in the Junior Bach Competition, 1st place in The art of Chamber Music Competition, and has performed in the Colburn Community School Winter Honors Recital. Julia is involved in the Back to BACH Project, where she teaches young children about classical music, and has also volunteered with the Harmony Project, helping to teach music to young students. Outside of music she is a competitive equestrian.
