Louis Ossi is a rising high school junior violinist under the instruction of Melissa Barrett. He joined the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra’s (JSYO) Premier Strings as assistant principal and progressed to the Repertory Orchestra where he served as Concertmaster under Maestra Deanna Tham. Soon after he entered Philharmonic where he has served the roles of Principal Second Violins for 4 years including rotating Concertmaster for one season. Louis is a winner of state and international competitions, with a recent 2025 first prize in the American Protégé International Concerto Competition.
Louis has played the violin in community recitals and with his church organist and choir the past 6 years. Besides music, he has special interest in math, science, and religion. He particularly enjoys going for long bike rides with his family and playing soccer.
