Madison Tedder, age 17, is a homeschooled student from Jacksonville, FL. She studies under Dr. Nick Curry, cello professor at University of North Florida. She is principal cellist of the top ensemble in the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and has performed in chamber music ensembles with fellow JSYO colleagues, at Prelude Chamber music camp (Jacksonville, FL) and Sewanee Summer Music festival (Sewanee, TN). She also enjoys playing her cello throughout her community – from medieval faire consorts and pit orchestras for musicals to public events. She has won multiple Superior cello solo honors at National Federation of Music Teachers festivals and placed first at state for two categories. She aspires to major in cello performance after high school graduation.
