Megan Herrman is going into her Junior year at the University of North Florida. She’s currently working to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Cello Performance, and is an active member of UNF’s CNAfME chapter, recently taking on the role of Secretary. She also works with a local elementary school orchestra program in Duval County. Megan has studied cello for the past 7 years and has enjoyed participating in her HS All County Orchestra in Brevard County and in the pit orchestra for several school and community theater productions. Megan was a winner of UNF Orchestra’s 2022 Concerto Competition and had the opportunity to play Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33 Mvt. 1 with the UNF Orchestra. In addition to her many playing opportunities at UNF, Megan performs with area churches and for weddings and other events. Megan would like to thank her cello professor, Dr. Curry, her family, and her peers for supporting her in her endeavors.
