Molly Sanford is an active performer, teacher, scholar, and music editor. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, studying with Michael Chertock. She is also the head Graduate Assistant of the Secondary Piano department. Molly completed her Master’s at CCM in 2019 and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University where she studied with Lori Sims.
As a teacher, Molly currently holds positions for both group piano and private lessons. As a performer, she has participated in numerous programs and groups such as the Birds on a Wire New Music Ensemble, the Gilmore Keyboard Festival, and Brancaleoni International Music Festival. She also specializes in contemporary and American music, including John Williams’ film scores and Charles Ives’ “Concord” Sonata. Her minor area of study is musicology.
Outside of piano, Molly is the co-founder Ravendor Studios (with composer Benjamin Pawlak), where she works on music editing, mixing, mastering, and production for film scores and instrumental works.
