Natalie Nef is a violinist from Pleasant View, Utah. Nef took second in the American Protégé International Concerto Competition in 2018, 2019, and 2020. This allowed her to play at Carnegie Hall in the Weill Recital Hall. Natalie has been able to solo with the Weber State University Symphony Orchestra. She has been featured with the Northern Utah Youth Symphony multiple times after winning their concerto competitions. In 2019, Natalie was the UTMA winner for both violin and piano. She studied violin with Peggy Wheelwright and David Porter before receiving a Premier Young Artist Scholarship to study violin at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she will be starting her second year pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance in the studio of Grigory Kalinovsky. In addition to violin, Natalie also plays piano and organ.
