Runen Li born in Shenzhen, China in 2001, began studying the cello at age 9. She attended Shenzhen Arts School, under Yihao Zhang, and currently studies with Dr. Melissa Kraut at the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 2018, She won the 2nd prize in the 3rd Hongkong International Strings competition. In 2019, Runen attended the Cleveland Institute of Music International Academic and was awarded 1st prize in the solo competition. Runen is also a member of the Shenzhen cello association. In 2018, her cello quartet performed in 7 cities in China under the event “sound of laurel”. The quartet published their first album “Hallo Cello” in 2021.
