Violet Weizer, 15, studies cello with Andrea Yun in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She started playing cello at the age of four and has played with the Papayas String Quartet and the Michigan Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has attended Interlochen Arts Camp, PhoenixPhest, and ARIA International Summer Festival. Violet was recently awarded the Honorable Mention Seiford Prize from the Baroque on Beaver Young Soloist competition. She is currently principal cellist of the Greenhills Orchestra. She also enjoys playing piano, figure skating, and baking.
