Yuchen (Vincent) Li was born in Beijing, China, and began studying piano when he was five. He moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of eleven. He is currently a rising junior undergraduate under the tutelage of Dr. Joseph Rackers at the Eastman School of Music.
Vincent was the winner of the ARCT Etude group in 2018 at the North York Music Festival and a prizewinner in other category groups in the competition. He was invited to play for the Brampton Chamber Music Concert Series as a competition winner in 2019. Recently, Vincent placed first in the 2022 Heddy Kilian Empire State Competition.
Vincent has appeared in masterclasses and lessons with teachers such as Boris Slutsky, Richard Goode, Alexander Kobrin, Steven Spooner, Michelle Cann, Arthur Greene, Jasmin Arakawa, and Christopher Guzman. Vincent’s previous teachers include Eldon Ng in Toronto and Dr. Dmitri Vorobiev from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
