Lu Niu

Collaborative Piano, Chamber

Lu Niu, a Chinese pianist, is active in field of collaborative piano and chamber music performances. She has appeared in several music festivals including Music Academy of West in Santa Barbara and Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine. She is the recipient of Cleveland Heights Alumni chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon Rosa Lobe Award and one of finalists of Duo Competition from Music Academy of West in 2023. She has played in masterclasses for Augustin Hadelich, Anthony McGill, and Eugene Izotov, Craig Terry, among others. Lu is currently a Graduate Diploma student majoring collaborative piano at Cleveland Institute of Music and studying with Anita Pontremoli. She also had her Master’s degrees double-majoring in piano performance and collaborative piano from Cleveland Institute of Music studying with Kathryn Brown and Anita Pontremoli.
