Addison Ellis-Otovo is a 13-year-old violist who attends District of Columbia International School and is currently the youngest National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellow. An avid fan of chamber music, Addison also plays in a quartet with the 9th Street Chamber Music Intensive and a duo as part of the National Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Fellowship Program.
She has attended multiple prestigious music programs, including: the Sphinx Performance Academy, Meadowmount School of Music, Walnut Hill String Quartet Intensive, Greenwood Music Camp, and the Interlochen Advanced Strings Institute. Additionally, Addison is a Vargas Foundation Student Scholar, Black Violin Youth, and student member of both the Friday Morning Music Club and the American Viola Society. Recently, Addison received an honorable mention in the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and won first place in the Misbin Family Memorial Chamber Music Competition.
Active in the DC community, Addison has performed at a variety of venues, including: Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Strathmore Mansion, Steinway Gallery, and Washington Nationals Stadium.
Addison studies with Renate Falkner at the Peabody Preparatory.
