Eva Cate Wesley is 12 years old and a rising 7th grader at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. She studies violin with Jacquie Fennell and has played for 7 years. Eva is a member of Cincinnati Junior Strings and Cincinnati Public Schools Jazz Academy. As a student of classical and jazz violin, this year Eva has won the Julia Bartles Concerto Competition Intermediate Division (February 2023), Outstanding Soloist in the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival at CCM (March 2023), and National Junior High Jazz Instrumental Soloist at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival (April 2023). In Eva’s free time she enjoys singing, composing, drawing, volleyball, creative writing, and digital animating.
